Why ATALANTA?

The maritime sector is still heavily male-dominated, and women often face barriers to entering, staying, and progressing—especially in technical and leadership roles. ATALANTA responds by building inclusive learning pathways, creating realistic XR training experiences, and strengthening mentorship and networks that support long-term career development.

We focus on six barriers to gender equality in the sector: cultural, legal, training, employment, retention, and leadership.
